House of IRL: athlete wellbeing and career transition for the whole career

For leagues and teams. Private check-ins for athletes, real support from coaches, honest aggregates for ownership, and a Transition Academy that lines up the next career before the last game.

The problem

Life after sports starts long before the final game

Pro careers can end in a single play, a phone call or a contract that isn’t renewed. For most athletes, the identity they built since childhood is tied to the game, and when it changes, everything changes at once.

Organizations invest heavily in the body. Identity, athlete mental health and career transition get far less structure, and the help that does exist often arrives after the athlete has already left the building. House of IRL puts that support inside the career, where it can still change the outcome.

For leagues and teams

Player development and wellbeing your organization can stand behind

  • Leagues

One standard of athlete wellbeing and transition support across every club, with league-level totals that never expose an individual player.

  • Teams and programs

Give players, coaches and player engagement staff the same tools from day one, and see how the organization is doing by career stage.

Three pillars

Identity, Resilience and Legacy: one model for the whole career

  • Identity

Who you are beyond your stats.

Athletes build an identity that survives a bad game, an injury or the final whistle: the Identity Portfolio™, the Behavioral User Manual™ and reflections only they can read.

  • Resilience

    Handling stress, pain and setbacks.

Sixty-second check-ins, a transparent Early Signal, The Space Between™ behavior loop and reps for injury, contract years and role changes, with crisis help always one tap away.

  • Legacy

    Building something beyond this season.

The Legacy Mirror™, skill tracks and a 90-day Transition Academy so the next career is lined up before the last game, not after.

Inside the organization

Mental health check-ins for athletes, real tools for the people around them

  • Athletes

Private daily check-ins on Identity, Resilience and Legacy, an Early Signal that shows exactly why it moved, a reps curriculum for each career stage, a private journal and full control over who sees what.

  • Coaches and player engagement

A roster view of the players who choose to share, suggested check-ins with conversation starters, a behavior decoder that explains what a player may be going through, and a coach curriculum from assistant to head coach.

  • Ownership

Organization-wide pillar health by career stage, a culture scorecard and organizational patterns. Aggregates only, from groups of 10 or more. Never an individual player.

  • Transition Academy

A 90-day minimum program that starts before the final game: translate the game into business skills, practice interviews, get résumé help, pick target companies and send Career Signals. The NextRep makes the connection and follows up.

The privacy promise

Athletes own their wellbeing data

Support only works when athletes trust it. So the rules are simple, visible in the product, and never quietly changed.

  • The athlete decides what their coach sees and whether the team clinician is alerted.
  • Private notes, journal entries and behavior patterns are never shared with anyone.
  • Ownership and the league only see totals from groups of 10 or more people. Never an individual.
  • Employers only see the Career Signal profile an athlete approves, never wellbeing data.
  • Not a diagnosis. Crisis help (988 and 911) is one tap away in every view.

FAQ

Questions about House of IRL

What is House of IRL?

House of IRL (Identity, Resilience, Legacy) is a whole-career platform from The NextRep for leagues and teams. Athletes check in on their wellbeing during their career, coaches and ownership get the views they need to support them, and a 90-day Transition Academy prepares athletes for life after sports before their final game.

Who is it for?

Leagues, teams and programs bring House of IRL to their organization. Inside it, athletes, coaches, player engagement staff and ownership each get their own view. It works for any sport and any level of professional play.

Is House of IRL a mental health treatment or diagnosis tool?

No. House of IRL does not diagnose or treat anything. Check-ins and the Early Signal are simple, visible indicators that help athletes notice trends and start conversations. Clinical care stays with the team clinician and licensed professionals, and crisis resources such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline are one tap away.

Who can see an athlete's check-ins?

The athlete decides. Athletes choose whether their coach sees their pillar trends and whether the team clinician is alerted if their Early Signal reaches Reach out. Private notes, journal entries and behavior patterns are never shared. Ownership and the league only see totals from groups of 10 or more people, and employers never see wellbeing data.

How does the Transition Academy work?

Athletes enroll at least 90 days before their final game. Over three phases (Identity, Resilience and Legacy) they translate their game into business skills, practice interviews, get résumé help, choose target industries and companies, and send Career Signals. The NextRep makes the connection and follows up.

How does House of IRL relate to REP | IV?

They are separate products from The NextRep that work together. House of IRL supports athletes during their career and through the Transition Academy. REP | IV is The NextRep's job board for athletes, coaches and veterans, where they can find the next role when they're ready.

What does House of IRL cost?

Pricing for leagues, teams and programs is shared with the waitlist first.

Can I try it?

Yes. The live demo shows the athlete, coach, ownership and Transition Academy views with sample data. Nothing you enter in the demo is saved.
